At Baby Massage Cumbria we believe whole-heartedly in the benefits of infant massage and baby yoga to both caregiver and baby.
I am an IAIM trained massage instructor and touchlearn baby yoga instructor with 9 years practical experience. I offer classes in North Cumbria and personal sessions in the comfort of your own home. I am also fully insured.
Through infant massage we learn the benefits of positive touch. Massage enables parents to further the development of their child, and at the same time, strengthen the parent-child bond. And of course Massage is fun!
It is thought that infant massage helps babies to grow and thrive, gain more weight and become more relaxed, calm and content.
In a baby yoga class there is a balance between stretching and relaxing sequences and postures with fun rhymes and music which help the development of the baby's brain and nervous system. The class also includes postures for new mums to promote toning of the pelvis and back muscles and can be used at home with your baby.
It has been proven that babies who receive nurturing touch gain weight faster, are calmer and have better intellectual and motor development.
We run classes in:
Individual home massage sessions can also be arranged.
